Garlic Soup

Try a classic garlic soup with a broth base.

Ingredients:
  • 2 potatoes
  • 6 cloves of garlic
  • 1 egg
  • 2 liters broth or water
  • 1 tbsp dried marjoram
  • 1 tsp crushed caraway seeds
  • fried bread (croutons)
  • hard cheese
  • salt and pepper

Instructions:
  1. In the broth (or water if no broth is available), cook the potatoes cut into cubes. Just before the potatoes are soft, add the marjoram, pressed garlic, 1 tsp of crushed caraway seeds, and slowly stir in the egg.
  2. Taste the soup and season with salt and pepper if needed.
  3. Serve with croutons (fried bread in a pan) and grated cheese at the bottom of the bowl.

Tip:
If you like creamy soups, blend it before serving. The potatoes will give it creaminess - just add more potatoes depending on how thick you want the soup to be.
